I'm looking to equip myself to be able to -
1) (a 'must') transfer VHS to VHS
2) (a 'would like to') transfer VHS to DVD
(for old TV movies as a way of premium storage, I
realize the DVD will only be as good as the VHS
tape it comes from).
3) (an 'if possible') transfer DVD to VHS
I have
2 - 36 inch stereo TV's (both just 2 years old)
1 - 27 inch stereo TV (about 7 years old)
1 - DVD player (1 year old)
2 - HiFi VCRs (1 - 2 years old, the other 7 years old)
I am willing to buy - whatever it takes.
For the VHS to VHS I was cosidering a GoVideo model DDV3120 VCR + VCR Dual-Deck but after reading some of the GoVideo comments (for the most part referencing their DVD products) I'm a bit uncertain of them now? And this Macrovision makes me wonder how much dubbing will be possible????
I understand the Macrovision can be a problem (for newer VCRs?) so I may be able to buy a refurbished JVC 4 head front loader from my brother. This unit is in great condition and one of the first front loaders on the market. If someone thinks thats the best bet.
BEFORE I spend any $$$$ I would REALLY APPRECIATE some advice from the knowledable folks on this board. Someone please help????
