Sony DAV-S550

I have this player and it's set to region 2,
I know for a fact you can alter it to region free,
There is a site on the net, which charges Ł75, to send you the details,and all it is ,is a special code you push in with your remote,I also spoke to sony, but they refuse to let me have it,
As in previous messages on here, it is not a special remote only sony have,
It's done with your own remote, and you just need the code,So my request is does anyone know how to do this,many thank's
