Try this It is for a SC-HT75 but seemed to work on my machine.
Start with an empty tray
USING THE REMOTE press "SETUP"
Go to "DISPLAY" menu
Select "ON SCREEN MESSAGES" then press "ENTER" button
Press ">10" found on the bottom right coner
Press "6" button
Press "4" button
Press "3" button
Press "8" button

A PASSWORD WINDOW SHOULD APPEAR

TYPE IN "3192"
PRESS THE "ENTER" BUTTON TWICE

You wil see RESET-DVD in the display and after this the disk will be read and the HT-SC75 is Region Free.

When replacing "3192" by "3193" The HT-SC75 is also Macrovision Free!!!
