Panasonic DMR-E100H copy crack

Is anyone looking into the crazy copy restrictions of the new Panasonic DMR E100, you cannot dub from DVD-r to HDD. So your own private recordings have to be on RAM in order to copy them or refresh existing copy..
Any suggestions welcome.
