I've tried to copy a dvd to vhs but with little success, there is one solution which might work.
it goes like this:
you connect your lg dvd player to your antena input on your t.v, use a "21 pins--antena cable"
after that connect a second video to your t.v using any cable you want (21 pins, RCA)
this is so simple, your dvd sends the movie to the tv while the video is doing what it supposed to do regulary, record from the tv.
